Enjoyed myself at the UK KISS Expo

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005 at 23:00 MET

My trip to the UK was a big succes and I enjoyed myself immensely (thanks Nige). I recorded over 5 hours worth of audio during the UK KISS Expo, which will take me some time to edit and make a new show. The old show is almost done but because I’ll be in Paris for 4 days (yeah, I get around these days wink) it is going to take a little longer to release.

In the meantime I added some pictures to the Gallery, for you to enjoy, taken during the UK KISS Expo III. You can also enjoy this video of Eric Singer playing drums with UK tribute band Dressed to Kill on the song Do You Love Me (AVI - 9,8 Mb, 1:00 min, 320x240). More photo’s and video’s can be found here on Martin Curtis’ website.

Greetings from a sunny Nottingham

Friday, November 18th, 2005 at 13:17 MET

Just touched down here in sunny but chilly Nottingham (-2°C / 28°F). I’ll be checking out the town later in the afternoon and will try to upload a new show just before the UK KISS Expo tomorrow. I had a comfortable trip from Rotterdam to Nottigham City Centre which I will be telling you about during the show.

If you plan on visiting the KISS Expo, I would love to talk to you all and say hi. Here is some information about the expo just to remind you what’s in store for the KISS fans tomorrow:

Very special guest is current member of KISS - ERIC SINGER ! Hot from the Alice Cooper UK tour, Eric Singer will be there for a ‘Q & A’ session, everyone who attends is guaranteed an autograph and photo session, and ya never know, he may just play a little ! There are live performances from the U.K.’s Number 1 KISS tribute band Dressed to Kill, Adam Bomb and Sack Trick and along for the ride again, will be Channel 4’s Mr. Iain Lee. Jazan Wild will be coming over from the U.S. to promote his new comic book “Carnival of Souls”. KISS Dealers from around the UK - Europe - USA, mainstream rock dealers are also welcome.

KISS ad for iTunes phone

Friday, September 9th, 2005 at 09:21 MET

Cingular iTunes Phone KISS ad

Apple, Motorola and Cingular Wireless announced the availability of the world’s first mobile phone with iTunes, the ROKR, enabling music fans to transfer up to 100 of their favorite tracks from the iTunes jukebox on their Mac or PC to their mobile phone. Cingular Wireless is running an ad campaign for the new service they provide for the iTunes phone. An outdoor billboard ad was revealed by Cingular COO Ralph de la Vega which features KISS.

You can also select Rock and Roll All Nite as one of the online demos for the new iTunes phone. Head over to the Cingular Make me Dance campaign website. Click on the ‘Make Them Dance’ button (lower left). Drag song number 4 to the phone’s display to see any character dance to KISS.

Of course you can also put podcasts on the phone, and speaking of new products. Check out the new sweet iPod Nano, also good for playing podcasts.
