Enjoyed myself at the UK KISS Expo

My trip to the UK was a big succes and I enjoyed myself immensely (thanks Nige). I recorded over 5 hours worth of audio during the UK KISS Expo, which will take me some time to edit and make a new show. The old show is almost done but because I’ll be in Paris for 4 days (yeah, I get around these days ) it is going to take a little longer to release.

In the meantime I added some pictures to the Gallery, for you to enjoy, taken during the UK KISS Expo III. Yesterday I received a cheque from the Google Adsense program in the mail. I was pleasantly surprised to see a certain amount being generated by all of the KISS Podcast supporters which have been clicking on the Google banner bellow. This helps big time to cover all the costs I have to make to keep this podcast up and running, such as: hosting expenses, gear purchases, etc. I guess putting a Google Adsense banner up really helps, so a thank you is in order here to anybody who clicked the banner.

KISS Exposed II home video

Today I received a package in the mail which contained the bootleg edition of the so called KISS Exposed II home video edition. This triple DVD set contains nearly 5 hours of footage from the first week of the 1990 Hot In The Shade tour. This is raw unedited footage which the band were compiling for a possible Exposed 2 Home video which was shelved for some reason. 

The main reason I am interested in this video footage is to see if the audio would be up to standards to broadcast on The KISS Podcast. With the new KISS DVD being prepared for release I realized how much I love those Exposed, Konfedential and Second Coming editions. The backstage footage is great to watch and some of the audio is pretty hilarious. So hopefully something good will come out of this never before released home video footage. Let me know what you think…

I watched the first disc and must say the audio is not that great (hey, it’s a bootleg copy and was filmed 15 years ago). Hopefully the other 2 discs are better, if not, I’ll try to make it work so I can make a show out of the footage and include some other Hot In The Shade songs and interviews. You can find the set on eBay if you are interested in footage like this. I’ll try to put the new show online this weekend.

Back from vacation

I am back from vacation! I recorded a podcast while I was away but I could not upload it or check my e-mail. So now that I am back home I will answer all my e-mail, upload the next KISS Podcast, the vacation special… do some laundry, ironing and, well, you know what needs to be done after a vacation.
